Founded in 2010 by newcomers from Burma, BRFN has burgeoned to an organization that now serves newcomers of all backgrounds. We have served clients from Afghanistan, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Burma, Guatemala, Haiti, and many more countries across the globe. BRFN serves refugees, asylum-seekers, asylees, and immigrants.
In the past decade, BRFN has prioritized and specialized in supporting Afghan, Eritrean, Ethiopian communities, due to increased arrivals and acute needs. Our highly trained, compassionate, and trauma-informed staff come from lived experience and speak the languages of the Afghan, Eritrean, Ethiopian communities we mainly serve. Our staff speak Dari, Pashto, Farsi, Urdu, Hindi, Tigrinya, and Amharic. When we have clients who do not speak languages on staff, we utilize a professional language interpreting line, allowing our services to be linguistically accessible to all.
Afghans At BRFN, we proudly support Afghan refugees and immigrants, providing culturally tailored services to help them navigate resettlement challenges. From social adjustment to access to vital resources, we empower Afghan families to build stable, thriving lives in the U.S. Learn more about the Afghan Newcomers and our services provided.
